As you likely know, there is a dangerous virus spreading in our midst and causing much suffering and death. It’s vitally important for people to take measures to protect themselves and their loved ones from Covid-19. Here are a few helpful tips:
(1) Wash hands often in running water and use hand sanitizer often.
(2) Avoid touching your face with your hands as much as possible.
(3) Avoid most hand shaking and mak-ing skin contact with others.
(4) Minimize gatherings and practice social distancing when possible.
(5) Regularly disinfect surfaces, hand-les, doorknobs, buttons and switches, tools, keyboards, phones, steering wheels and other items and areas where germs and viruses may exist.
(6) Limit travel as much as possible.
These are just a few simple things that everyone can do to make a significant difference in combatting Covid-19 and getting life back to normal.
However, there’s another disease that almost no one is addressing, and it has infected far more people than Covid-19 or any other virus, and the effects are far more severe. The disease is called SIN, and God’s word says much about it.
Perhaps you’ve never thought of sin as a disease, but the Lord Jesus Christ DID speak of it as such: "…They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repent-ance." (Mark 2:7) Sin is a SPIRITUAL disease that damns the soul.
There are over seven billion people living on earth today, and each one has been infected with sin. God’s word says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23) and “…There is none righteous, no, not one.” (Rom. 3:10) That means . . .
YOU are infected with SIN.
The Bible also states HOW you became infected: "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” (Rom. 5:12) You were born a sinner because the first man, Adam, started the sin infection in the garden of Eden (Gen. 3). No, it isn’t your fault, but it IS your reality. You ARE a sinner.
In fact, sin is the reason that you will die: “For the wages of sin is death…” (Rom 6:23) It was never God’s intention for man to die. Death is the result of man’s sin, not God’s plan.
But it gets even worse. Not only will you die because of sin, you will also suffer what God’s word calls the SECOND DEATH: “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Rev. 20:14-15) The word of God is very clear. Physically speaking, everyone must face the first death, our natural physical death. But the second death, the tormenting lake of fire is a choice. You do NOT have to burn in flames forever just because you’re a sinner. The Scripture that you just read says that your name CAN be in the BOOK OF LIFE! The sin pandemic has condemned you to the eternal LAKE OF FIRE, yet God’s word offers you an escape. God offers you a CURE for sin, a CLEANSING that can make you as white as snow! DON’T IGNORE THIS!
Sure, you can get religion and turn over a new leaf, but that will only make you a religious sinner. Your sins need to be WASHED AWAY so that you will stand CLEANSED in the sight of God, and there’s only one way that can happen. Revelation 1:5 says that Jesus Christ “…loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.” Because of this, Isaiah 1:18 even says, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, was sent into this world to offer people a CURE for the damnable sin pandemic. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Jesus Christ shed His sinless blood, died on the cross, was buried, and then rose again to pay for YOUR sins and offer you the greatest cure ever: ALL SINS CLEANSED AND FORGIVEN! You can be CURED! You can become a new-born child in Jesus Christ (John 3:7) with a brand new life and your name in God’s BOOK OF LIFE!
Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Then Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” The Lord Jesus Christ is the GREAT PHYSICIAN with the greatest cure ever. Call upon Him NOW and RECEIVE Him as your own Lord and Saviour. In your own words, tell God that you know you are a condemned sinner, you believe Jesus Christ is your only hope, and that you now RECEIVE Him by faith as your Lord and Saviour.
