One of the greatest freedoms that Americans have is the privilege of voting our leadership into or out of power. Nevertheless, millions of our citizens never vote at all. Millions more do vote, but only after having been terribly misled by crafty campaign ads and news media propaganda. It is understandable that some choose not to vote at all, but not voting is really a vote in itself. It is an inner vote of the mind which says, “I just don’t care.”
Perhaps you haven’t heard, but there are two candidates running for office whom the news media is totally ignoring. One is currently in office, and he desires to stay there and continue to lie and bring misery to you and your loved ones as he serves his own selfish desires.
The other candidate seeks to restore honesty and morality to the office while providing good strong leadership. We are asking you to cast your vote for this candidate.
The “office” in question is the office of your heart. Unless you have already voted him out by electing the right candidate, Satan presently holds this office. The Bible, God’s word, is very clear about this: "Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others." (Eph. 2:2-3)
By nature, you were born into this world a sinner. Adam and Eve became sinners in the Garden of Eden (Genesis chapter 3), and all men today are born in their fallen sinful image: "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." (Rom. 5:12) "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me." (Psa. 51:5) "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one." (Rom. 3:10) "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Rom. 3:23)
Most people believe that they are naturally God’s children, but God’s word declares otherwise: "In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother." (I John 3:10) "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." (John 8:44)
Satan’s spirit fills and directs most people today because most have never come to realize the fact he is in control of their lives. People are born sinners, they live as sinners, then they die in their sinful condition without having ever voted the devil out of the office of their heart. Consequently, most people die and spend eternity in a burning hell: "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." (Mat. 7:13-14) "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." (Rev. 20:15)
Friend, are you going to allow Satan to continue occupying the office of your heart, or are you going to take action and vote the deceiver out by electing a better leader for your life?
The other candidate running for office is the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Millions have found him to be not only the best leader for their lives, but also their very best friend. Satan promises fun, excitement, riches and pleasure, but in the end he delivers only misery. Jesus promises you forgiveness of sin, a far better life, and a home in heaven: "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins." (Col. 1:14) "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep." (John 10:10-11)
Jesus died at Calvary to pay for your sins, then he arose the third day to be the Lord of your life. Satan has every intention of remaining in office and damning you to a burning hell forever, but YOU can stop him. In fact, ONLY you can stop him. Only YOU can vote Satan out of your heart and vote in Jesus Christ!
Yes, this is YOUR election day. God has given you the opportunity to become his very own child today: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." (John 1:12)
Will you allow the devil to remain in the office of your heart, or will you vote him out by receiving the Lord Jesus Christ right now? "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Rom. 10:9-10) "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Rom. 10:13)
